I think I may have stumbled on the almost-perfect settings, just by BFI (Brute Force and Ignorance). Here’s The Quangle Wangle’s Hat, also by Edward Lear.

Please let me know what you think, with regard to recording quality. Being just about deaf, I am not a good judge of such things, but it sounds good to me.

Trying again to produce a podcast, this time using my iSight as the microphone, and HackTV as the recording software.

Turns out that the iSight (an Apple product) isn’t a supported input device for Garage Band (an Apple product). I find this more than a little disappointing, but there’s not much I can do about it.

Anyways, this is The Pobble Who Has No Toes, which is another poem by Edward Lear. I’m rather disappointed by the quality. Quite a lot of echo. But this could have more than a little to do with the fact that I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to recording. I don’t know what gain means, let alone any of the other options. But, perhaps I’ll arrive at perfect settings by experimentation.

My first experimentation with podcasting – mostly to figure out the best way to do this, in preparation for something I have planned for a little later in the year.
