Sharing the suffering

2003 And Beyond

I went through the pain of reading the whole darned thing. Now you should too.

I am not a big commenter concerning computer geek things. It is an area where other great minds can do circles around me. Good for them. I read article in the "2003 and Beyond" about the future of Microsoft. I was also told by Chris Davis concerning Microsoft's plans. Sounds good on paper, but this will begin to spell the death of Microsoft. Companies and private individuals will not want to invest in something that will require them to drop a quarter in everytime they use it.

All you penguin lovers out there, this is your moment, rise up and take your claim. Develop an operating system so dumb downed that it looks like a Windows operating system and lure the hapless blokes out there into your fold.

As for Bill Gates? Well the "2003 and Beyond" article states:

"If you're over 40, the technology employment picture becomes really grim. You have abilities far beyond a 28 year old's, but he's the one that's going to get hired. For over 40s, there are many opportunities in consulting, especially in small and medium business, but that takes social skills and above all, selling skills, exactly what many chose technical careers to avoid."

Good luck, Bill, see you at the job fair.

I also received a letter in the mail from them. And, failing to read the fine print I fell victim to their solicitation for my business. I agree 100% that they are a deceptive company. Although I'm sure they aren't the first to do this.

It makes me angry that I have to go through more junk to get that domain name transferred!!

I encourage anyone who has suffered at the hands of Domain Registry of America to file a complaint with the FTC, www.ftc.gov. Domain Registry of America took my money and didn't renew my domain name. Now someone else has a hold of my domain name. Does anyone know how I would go about getting my name back?
