Wollabot - A modular service bot for IRC channels written in PHP
Apparently I can't make this stuff up fast enough to keep ahead of the ... um ... resourceful gentlemen who are actually doing it.
Please note that my opions regarding PHP IRC bots and eternal damnation have not varied with this discovery.
It gets even worse than that - today someone in #apache said:
14:17 < *******> i was thinking of making a simple "install" that would copy my apache files, php files(with some php files), so people who don't know what apache is can run it
14:18 < *******> with some php files -> i meant php scripts made be me
(Editor: Name removed, at user's request, to protect the guilty.)
Posted by: Mads Toftum on February 25, 2003 08:49 AMHow Wonderfully useless... I love the way people think that "people who don't know what apache is" are gonna just run it for the hell of it...
"This looks cool, I'll just run this random piece of software that has some things called PHP scripts with it... That sounds great fun!"
bleah.
