He wishes for the cloths of heaven

He wishes for the cloths of heaven

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

    Such a beautiful poem, but its kinda sad to, because hes talking to the lady he loved his entire life but she never loved him back. She knew that he loved her,and in this poem he is kinda asking her to not make an idiot out of him, because she can see his dreams of them being together. :(
